I have supported well over 100 families as a birth and postnatal doula and can honestly say that it is the best job in the world! The best bits…I love the continuity of care (guiding my clients through their pregnancy, birth and those early weeks as they blossom into parenthood), we get to know each other very well 🙂 …I love supporting couples who live close to me so I can pop in easily at short notice…and I love being invited back to support second and third babies. My doula family is ever growing! It was my birth experiences with my three boys (epidural/instrumental, elective c-section & VBAC) that inspired me to become a doula. I discovered a lack of continuity of care and I felt unsupported and alone. I have NHS experience having worked at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital as a doula in 2012-2014 and also good links with St George’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals.
